Sri Lanka, June 6 -- The ceremony of 'Kap' to mark the commencement of the Esala Perahera of the Ruhunu Kataragama Maha Devalaya was held today.

According to Kataragama Hiru correspondent K D Devapriya, the 'Kap' ceremony was held at the auspicious time of 5.55 am and the Esela Perehera will commence from the 21.
