Sri Lanka, Feb. 5 -- In the wake of the recent arrest of a suspected gang leader in Jaffna, the police have issued a notice to individuals providing houses on a rental basis. The notice states that if a house is rented out, to be vigilant regarding the activities of the tenants.

The police urge the public to report any suspicious situations related to individuals renting houses. This move comes after the arrest of a 25-year-old individual, believed to be the leader of the extortion gang known as Ava, who was apprehended in a two-story house in Yasorapura in Mount Lavinia.

The suspect, identified as Prabhakaran Kausikan, is also known by the aliases "Prabha" and "Coincy Tampa" within the Ava gang. He was found in possession of drugs and ...
