Sri Lanka, Feb. 15 -- In a landmark Supreme Court ruling in India, a five-judge bench led by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, alongside Justices Sanjiv Khanna, BR Gavai, JB Pardiwala, and Manoj Misra, delivered a unanimous verdict on Thursday, declaring the Electoral Bonds scheme unconstitutional. The ruling comes in response to a series of petitions challenging the legality of the Central government's Electoral Bonds Scheme, which permits anonymous funding to political parties.
