Sri Lanka, Jan. 20 -- Responding to a question raised in Parliament by MP Hesha Vithanage yesterday (19), Industries Minister Wimal Weerawansa stated that the land area allocated for the Embilipitiya Paper Mill will not be allowed to use for any other purpose. He added that the factory will be re-opened soon under a public-private partnership.

Minister Weerawansa pointed out that although the Mahaweli Authority of Sri Lanka owns the land where the Embilipitiya Paper Mill is located, necessary steps were already taken to take it over legally to the National Paper Company which owns the Embilipitiya Paper Mill.
