Sri Lanka, April 18 -- The proposed reforms in the electricity sector have taken a significant step forward as they were officially published in the government gazette on Wednesday (17) under the title 'Sri Lanka Electricity Bill'.

Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekara announced the development via 'X' (formerly Twitter), revealing that the Bill is scheduled to be presented to Parliament during the upcoming sitting week.
