Sri Lanka, Nov. 25 -- Professor Arjuna de Silva stated that players of the Lanka Premier League 2020 (LPL) who tested positive for the COVID-19 will not be given medical clearance to play at the tournament. However, if they wish to play against medical advice, they are allowed to do so.

Speaking at the media briefing held yesterday (24) to launch the inaugural LPL 2020 tournament, as the Event Medical Director, Prof. de Silva explained, "If a person is tested positive, they are quarantined for 14 days. And a PCR test will not be conducted at the discharge. However, medically speaking after about 10 days, a patient is not infected. However, most of these people do not have symptoms.
