Sri Lanka, Oct. 21 -- It is reported that England's batsman Mark Ramprakash is to considered as the new head coach of the Sri Lankan national team.

According to cricket internal reports, he is willing to take over as the head coach of the Sri Lankan cricket team.

50-year-old Ramprakash, is a former England batsman who has scored over 2,350 runs in 52 Tests representing England.

Ramprakash is also said to have coached the Middlesex state team.

Ramprakash, a powerful batsman for Middlesex and Surrey, has scored 35,659 runs in 461 matches with 114 centuries and 147 fifties in first class matches.
