Sri Lanka, March 18 -- In a thrilling conclusion to the ODI series, Bangladesh secured a four-wicket win over Sri Lanka, thanks to superb batting performances by Tanzid Hasan and Rishad Hossain. The hosts clinched the series 2-1 after a hard-fought battle that saw injuries to several players on both sides.

Tanzid Hasan, approved as Soumya Sarkar's concussions substitute, played a stellar knock, scoring a career-best 84 runs. His innings laid the foundation for Bangladesh's chase. However, it was Rishad Hossain who stole the show with his blistering unbeaten 48 off just 18 balls. Rishad's innings was marked by four sixes and five fours, including a devastating assault on Sri Lanka's bowlers in the final overs.
