New Delhi, Dec. 5 – Vehicles operating under cab or taxi service cause five times more pollution than private vehicles. Recent research of Safar has revealed this.
According to the study, vehicles used as cabs usually travel more than 1,45,000 kilometres in a year. This is five times more than private vehicles. The average number of kilometres travelled by private cars ranges twenty five to thirty thousand only. According to this, the amount of pollution from the vehicles plying in the cab becomes very high.
