New Delhi, Feb. 20 -- Vice-President CP Radhakrishnan on Thursday launched Congress MP Shashi Tharoor's new book at an event, where the national song, Vande Mataram, was played twice along with the national anthem, following the recent Union government's guidelines. The event in the national capital commenced with the playing of extended, six-stanza version of the national song, followed by the national anthem. The sequence was repeated after the Vice President's address towards the end of the event. Tharoor's office told HT that the national song and anthem were played as "per the government's guidelines".
