Lucknow, July 6 -- Intending to make urban local bodies (ULBs) contribute to turning the state into a trillion-dollar economy, the state government is proposing to make substantial investments in their infrastructure and services and transform them into significant sources of revenue.

Working to turn them self-reliant and boost their income, the state government, in a press release, said the ULBs would select 38 projects in a phased manner. The projects, with the potential for public-private partnership (PPP) proposals, will receive priority.
