Come to think of it, almost every part of the world says a temporary goodbye to some part of its avian population every year, as the seasons oscillate between migration and reverse migration. Millions of birds use well defined flyways to traverse to more hospitable parts of the world.

The world's bird migration routes are broadly identified as 8 key flyways, or routes. Going by recent news, red flags have been raised in terms of migration of the birds along the Central Asian Flyway.
