New Delhi, Nov. 1 -- The Tamil Nadu and Punjab governments have moved the Supreme Court against their respective governors over alleged delay in clearing various bills approved by the assembly, saying such "unconstitutional" inactions have brought the entire administration to a grinding halt.

The two governments also sought directions from the top court to the governors to approve all pending legislations forwarded by the assembly.

While the Tamil Nadu government moved the court against governor RN Ravi on Tuesday, its Punjab counterpart filed the petition against governor Banwarilal Purohit on Saturday.

There was no immediate reaction available from the two Raj Bhavans on the state governments' move at the time of filing this report. Ho...
