India, March 14 -- Aamir Khan is celebrating his birthday today. As the actor turns 54, the actor has cemented his reputation as the perfectionist, a man whose every film has something new to offer. The year 2018, however, saw him delivering a flop, Thugs of Hindostan -- his first in 18 years, but the trade dismisses it as a blip in an otherwise successful career.

Thugs of Hindostan collected around Rs 151 crore at the domestic box office but failed to recover its cost. The actor who has often broken his own box office records had last faced disappointment with Mela in 2000.
