Sunetra Pawar resigns from RS after winning baramati bypoll
Mumbai, May 7 -- Maharashtra deputy chief minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) head Sunetra Pawar ceased to be a Member of Parliament on Wednesday after resigning from the Rajya Sabha, following her recent election as an MLA from Baramati.
Pawar travelled to New Delhi earlier in the day and submitted her resignation to Vice President and Rajya Sabha chairman CP Radhakrishnan, which was subsequently accepted. She was accompanied by her elder son, Rajya Sabha MP Parth Pawar.
