New Delhi, April 2 -- The Centre has asked all states to comply with the directives issued by the Supreme Court on Tuesday about the provision of food, medicines and relief camps for migrant workers. In a letter, home secretary Ajay Bhalla also asked all states to fight fake news, saying the Union government was creating a web portal for verifying facts and asked all states to follow suit. He also asked the states to comply with all directives and orders issued to contain Covid-19. In another letter to information and broadcasting secretary Ravi Mittal, Bhalla mentioned fake news and cited the top court's observation about unverified information having created panic among migrant workers. "Since the facts/unverified news may pertain to different ministries, nodal officers may be appointed by the ministries concerned...to give their response/clarification..., which would be uploaded on the portal," the letter read....
