New Delhi, April 29 -- A single agency will be selected to manage all services, of upkeep, maintenance, housekeeping and security, on the redeveloped area of Chandni Chowk from the Red Fort to the Fatehpuri mosque, senior government officials aware of the matter said. Also, collapsible bollards will be installed at the junctions on the HC Sen Road, Rai Kedar Nath Marg and Nai Sarak Road, among others, they said. The selection of a single agency, for which the Public Works Department (PWD) has moved a proposal, will fix accountability for the area, given the previous instances of jurisdictional fights that led to poor civic services in the area, officials said.
