Bhopal, May 15 -- The Madhya Pradesh Police have arrested a private school owner in Bhopal for allegedly raping an eight-year-old girl at the hostel last month, police officers aware of the matter said on Tuesday. An assistant sub-inspector Prakash Rajput has also been detained for allegedly pressured the survivor's mother to withdraw the rape complaint, the officer added.
DCP, Bhopal, Shradha Tiwari, said, "The accused was arrested after the victim identified him as 'a man with beard'. After DNA tests, the suspect will be produced in court. Rajput was suspended from duty two weeks ago."
