Amaravati, April 27 -- Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday directed officials and oil companies to ensure adequate fuel supply and restore normalcy across the state by Monday.
421 out of 4,510 fuel stations across the state had to close operations after a sharp surge in demand driven by panic buying, officials aware of the matter said.
Naidu directed district collectors to establish a task force and control room to monitor the situation until normalcy is restored. "Ensure there is no inconvenience to the public and restore normal supply without delay," CM said in an official release on Sunday, warning that any disruption in essential services would not be tolerated.
