Repoll if camera feed at West Bengal booths are disrupted, says ECI
New Delhi, April 10 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday announced sweeping changes to polling procedures in West Bengal, barring state police, civic volunteers and the state's Green Police from any election-related duty, while mandating immediate repolls if live camera feeds at polling booths are disrupted.
"Any disruption in live camera feed will now be treated as a serious breach of polling transparency. Repolls will be ordered immediately. to ensure that the sanctity of voting is fully protected," a senior EC official said.
