Prof booked over 'terrorist' remark
Bengaluru, March 29 -- A professor at a private university in Karnataka's Bengaluru has been booked for allegedly making derogatory and provocative remarks against a student during a lecture, targeting his religion, police said on Saturday, adding that they have registered a suo motu case against the teacher after a video of the incident surfaced on social media.
Meanwhile, they have not received a formal complaint from anyone yet.
According to the student, who studies at the PES University, the incident occurred on March 26, where the teacher allegedly referred to him as a "terrorist."
