NEW DELHI, March 24 -- Senior leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress took shots at the Bharatiya Janata Party government and PM Narendra Modi for the attack. In a tweet, Kejriwal said, "Hitler bhi satta ke liye yahi karta tha. Hitler ke gunde logo to pitte the, unka khoon karte the aur police jinhe mara, unhi ke khilaaf case karti thi (Hitler also used to do this for power. Hitler's goons used to beat up people, kill them, and police registered cases against those who were assaulted)." A delegation of Delhi BJP leaders met the Delhi chief electoral officer to complain against Kejriwal. BJP MLA Vijender Gupta, the opposition leader in the Delhi assembly, said, "Delhi CM Kejriwal, through his official Twitter handle, has shared a video of an incident of beating in Gurugram District of Haryana and has provoked through his social media handle... The incident of beating against which an appropriate action has been taken by the District Administration of Gurugram, has been misused by CM Kejriwal to give it a religious colour to provoke the feelings of the two communities."...
