Noida, Aug. 2 -- The Okhla barrage saw a significant increase in Yamuna water discharge on Wednesday night around 11pm, recording a flow of 19,364 cusecs, which is four times higher than that the previous day, following heavy rain in Noida, Delhi and other parts of the National Capital Region (NCR), officials at the irrigation department said, while ruling out any risk of flooding in the Yamuna floodplains in Noida.

On Tuesday afternoon, the water discharge was recorded at 4,938 cusecs, and on Thursday around 3pm, the discharge was recorded at 9,922 cusecs, officials said.
