NCLAT clears wayfor Adani to take over JAL
Bengaluru, March 25 -- The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) on Tuesday refused to stay the acquisition of Jaiprakash Associates Ltd (JAL) by Adani Enterprises, but clarified that all steps taken under the resolution plan will remain subject to its final decision on the appeal filed by the Anil Agarwal-led Vedanta group, challenging the approval of the acquisition.
NCLAT Chairperson Justice Ashok Bhushan and technical member Barun Mitra also refrained from issuing directions to prevent the proposed delisting of JAL's shares.
