New Delhi, April 7 -- A man on Monday breached the Delhi legislative assembly, breaking through the barricades and damaging the iron gates to enter the premises, where he got out of the car and placed a bouquet in the boot of the Speaker's car before leaving the same way. The episode, which lasted around five minutes, raised questions about the security at one of the city's most secure locations.
The man, identified as Sarabjit Singh, was arrested at a police picket in Roop Nagar around two hours later. Police have yet to establish Singh's motive, but said he was suffering from a mental illness. P3
