India, Sept. 16 -- Lok Sabha MP Balli Durga Prasad Rao died at the age of 65 in a hospital in Chennai on Wednesday, family members said. The minister was undergoing treatment after testing positive for Covid-19.

The YSR Congress leader was admitted to the hospital three weeks ago after contacting coronavirus and undergoing medical treatment, PTI cited his family members as saying.

Balli Durga Prasad Rao, a former state minister and three-time MLA, is survived by his wife, a daughter and two sons.
