India, March 15 -- The contesting candidates in the upcoming general election campaign will face a challenging task seeking votes from the trans-Hindon areas of Sahibabad. The office bearers of the association of federation of apartment owners (Fed-AOA), which has 112 high-rises as members, said they will seek affidavits from candidates mentioning specific timelines for their promises on development works.
The Ghaziabad parliamentary constituency has nearly 27.15 lakh voters, as per the draft publication of electoral rolls on January 1. The parliamentary constituency is slated to go to polls in the phase 1 of the general elections on April 11. It has five assembly segments of Loni, Muradnagar, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad and Dhaulana (part).
