Islamabad, Sept. 12 -- Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday announced that he was going to hold a "big jalsa (rally)" in Muzaffarabad on September 13 to highlight the Kashmir issue and "show the Kashmiris that Pakistan stands resolutely with them".

Pakistan sought to internationalise the Kashmir issue after India, on August 5 and 6, passed laws and resolutions in parliament to bifurcate Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories and scrapped a constitutional provision giving the J&K special status.

Every Friday between noon and 12.30pm, Pakistanis mark what they call "Kashmir hour" where people come out and hold demonstrations in favour of the Kashmiri people.
