New Delhi, Feb. 20 -- The Supreme Court on Monday adjourned by two weeks the hearing on a lawsuit filed by Kerala government seeking lifting of curbs imposed by Centre on its borrowing power after it was informed that its earlier attempt to get both governments to resolve differences through talks ended in a deadlock with the Centre insisting upon the state to withdraw its lawsuit from the top court for discussions to proceed.

Posting the matter to March 6, a bench of justices Surya Kant and KV Viswanathan indicated to the state that granting any interim relief on a "purely financial" issue falling within the domain of subject experts was difficult even as it asked the Centre to be open to further negotiations with the state.
