NEW DELHI, March 30 -- The Indian Air Force will showcase its capability to carry out high-tempo operations during an upcoming exercise, Gagan Shakti-2024, which will involve all air force bases and assets scattered across the country, officials aware of the matter said on Friday.

The pan-Indian drills will be carried out in a realistic environment from April 1 to April 10, the officials said.

Gagan Shakti was last held in 2018 when IAF clocked more 11,000 sorties during the two-phase air manoeuvres that saw the concentration of the air force's deployed assets move from western sector to the eastern front in less than 48 hours.
