New Delhi, April 22 -- The Income Tax Department has filed complaints with the police and the Election Commission against Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president K Selvaperunthagai for allegedly spreading false information and defaming the department over non-existent search operations. In a press statement, the IT Department denied conducting any searches at Selvaperunthagai's premises or detaining him. "No search, survey, or any form of enforcement action was carried out by the Income Tax Department against Shri K.
