House panel calls meet amid row over IIT-B student suicide
Mumbai, Feb. 19 -- The Parliamentary Standing Committee for Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes has called a meeting on February 22 to review safety of students across educational institutions, amid the uproar over the suicide of a first-year B.Tech student at the Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay (IIT-B) allegedly due to caste bias, a notice issued by the panel said on Saturday....
