New Delhi, July 17 -- The central government on Tuesday ordered the cancellation of the July 14 examination held for appointments to the postal department and announced that the exam would now be held in all local languages, including Tamil. The government's decision came after the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), which contested the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), protested in the Rajya Sabha against the exam being held only in Hindi and English.
