Fate of 1,849 candidates in two states, one UT set to be sealed today
Guwahati/Thiruvananthapuram, April 9 -- Around 53.05 million electors will seal the fate of 1,849 candidates on Thursday, when polling for the assembly elections will be held in Kerala, Assam and Puducherry. The votes will be counted along with the other two states - Tamil Nadu and West Bengal - on May 4.
In Assam, voting will be held for all 126 constituencies, with over 25 million voters eligible to exercise their franchise to decide the fate of 722 candidates. The state had witnessed a high-decibel campaigning leading up to the crucial assembly polls.
