NEW DELHI, March 17 -- India's merchandise exports are holding their ground despite global headwinds, commerce secretary Rajesh Agrawal said on Monday, adding that India and the US are continuing to work towards a mutually beneficial trade deal. But with the US Supreme Court scrapping earlier this year the retaliatory tariffs levied by President Donald Trump in 2025, the two countries will sign a new deal only after the US puts in place a new architecture of tariffs, a person familiar with the matter added.
