Mumbai, July 2 -- Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde has ordered an inquiry into the bus accident on the Samruddhi expressway between Mumbai and Nagpur that claimed 25 lives, even as President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the deaths.

In addition, a panel of experts will study reasons behind the frequent accidents on the expressway and the authorities will undertake corrective measures on its recommendations, the chief minister announced.
