Ensure Metro work doesn't damage power cables: MSEDCL to MMRDA

India, May 16 -- The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) recently asked the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) to ensure that power cables are not damaged owing to the ongoing Metro works during the monsoon.
MMRDA is the executive authority for most Metro projects in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Some areas which are under construction for Metro-4 (Wadala-Kasarvadavali) and Metro-6 (Swami Samarth Nagar-Vikhroli) fall under the jurisdiction of MSEDCL, which supplies power to Mulund, Bhandup, Thane, Navi Mumbai, apart from the rest of the state.
