Court pulls up police for 'omission of duties'
NEW DELHI, March 8 -- A Delhi court on Saturday pulled up the city police for filing a charge sheet "without application of mind" in a case pertaining to a protest held last year at Jantar Mantar against the UGC Regulations Draft.
The order was passed by additional chief judicial magistrate Paras Dalal of Rouse Avenue Courts. The judge observed, "it appears that the present challan has been forwarded in a mechanical manner without application of mind".
