India, May 13 -- The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday announced the Class 12 examination results with the overall pass percentage increasing by 0.65 percentage points compared to last year; and marking an increase in the number of students scoring 90% and 95% in all subjects. The overall pass percentage this year is 87.98% compared to 87.33% last year. The board attributes the increase to changes made in examination patterns this year.

"This shows the students were well prepared for competency based question papers as this year 40% competency based questions were asked in the examinations," the board said.
