New Delhi, March 2 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will challenge before the Supreme Court the acquittal of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operative Abdul Karim Tunda in the 1993 serial train blasts case by a special court in Ajmer, people aware of the matter said on Friday.

"We are studying the judgment and will approach the Supreme Court to challenge the acquittal," an officer from the agency said, seeking anonymity.
