Kolkata, May 25 -- A Bangladeshi citizen who illegally lived in Mumbai and worked as a butcher was allegedly hired to dismember the body of murdered Bangladeshi MP Mohammad Anwarul Azim, chop it into pieces, and dispose of them, police West in Bengal said on Friday after it arrested the 24-year-old suspect from the state's southeastern fringes.

The grisly murder of Azim, first unearthed earlier this week, has sent shockwaves across two countries. Police in neither country have spoken out about the motive for the murder of the 56-year-old parliamentarian from Bangladesh's ruling Awami League, but hinted that it was likely to be connected to business dealings, rather than politics.
