Bhubaneswar, May 27 -- Police on Sunday arrested Prashant Jagdev, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator from Chilika in Odisha, who is contesting the assembly elections from Khordha constituency, a day after he was accused of toppling an electronic voting machine (EVM) during the third phase of polling.

CCTV evidence showed that Jagdev kicked a table on which the EVM was kept, according to Nikunja Bihari Dhal, chief electoral officer of Odisha.
