BELAGAVI, March 23 -- An Army officer undergoing commando training in Karnataka's Belagavi died on Sunday after collapsing in a swimming pool, with preliminary findings pointing to a cardiac arrest, police said. According to police, the officer, Amit Singh, a lieutenant from Haryana, had been training for the past few weeks at the Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre (MLIRC) in Nanawadi. The incident took place during a routine swimming session at the facility. "He had already completed two laps and began showing signs of exhaustion.
