Arbitrator quits after SC raises disclosure issue
New Delhi, March 17 -- Days after the Supreme Court took exception to an arbitrator's failure to disclose his prior involvement in a related dispute linked to Oman-based MSA Global LLC and its chairman, the arbitrator has stepped down from the arbitration panel.
A bench comprising Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and justice Joymalya Bagchi was informed on Monday that Andre Yeap, the nominee arbitrator appointed by MSA Global in its dispute with Indian public sector undertaking Engineering Projects (India) Limited (EPIL), has resigned from the tribunal.
