India, March 10 -- Anthropic is suing the Trump administration, asking federal courts to reverse the Pentagon's decision designating the AI company a "supply chain risk" over its refusal to allow unrestricted military use of its technology. Anthropic is the first US company ever to have been publicly punished with such a designation, a label typically reserved for companies from foreign adversary countries, like Chinese tech firm Huawei. "These actions are unprecedented and unlawful," Anthropic's lawsuit says. "The Constitution does not allow the government to wield its enormous power to punish a company for its protected speech."ap
