New Delhi, May 16 -- The Delhi High Court on Wednesday sought the Delhi government's response on a plea that has challenged the Chunauti-2018 plan - the state government's scheme to improve learning levels of students in classes 6 to 9.

Justice C Hari Shankar also issued notice to Directorate of Education (DoE) on the plea by Parents Forum for Meaningful Education said the children are facing discrimination due to the segregation of the students.

According to the plea filed through advocates PS Sharda and Subhankar Sharda, the government's scheme segregated the children into two groups- Pratibha (Superior) and Nishtha (Inferior) on the basis of a "perfunctory test" conducted to evaluate the learning ability of the students.
