New Delhi, March 19 -- Airlines must allocate 60% of seats on a flight without additional selection charges while ensuring that passengers on the same booking are grouped together, the civil aviation ministry said on Wednesday in a stack of directions aimed at bulking up passenger rights and curbing arbitrary carrier practices. Orders that cement these directions will be issued on Thursday, people aware of the matter said.
