New Delhi, May 10 -- Air India Express withdrew termination letters for 25 cabin crew members on Thursday, hours after it sacked them for having participated in what the company said was a "pre-meditated and concerted" disruption of services since Wednesday when hundreds of them called in sick.

The decision came after a conciliation meeting between the airline management and the crew unions mediated by the chief labour commissioner. The crew decided to rollback its strike and assured all staff - estimated to be around 100 - will report back to duty with fitness certificates immediately.
