New Delhi, March 24 -- A 70-year-old man was arrested for allegedly murdering his 55-year-old son-in-law with a stick during their altercation over an unpaid loan in outer Delhi's Kanjhawala last week, police said on Monday.
The deceased, Aglu, and his wife Savita had taken a Rs.30,000 loan from her father Dinesh Sharma, for their house, said DCP (Rohini) Shashank Jaiswal.
"The couple was unable to repay the loan, leading to a heating altercation on March 16 during which the elderly man attacked Aglu with a stick and Aglu suffered serious head injuries. He succumbed at Safdarjung hospital. We've arrested Sharma and recovered the stick used in the crime," said DCP Jaiswal.Karn Pratap Singh
