New Delhi, March 6 -- Six Congress legislators of Himachal Pradesh assembly, who were disqualified for defying party whip and cross-voting in the elections to the lone Rajya Sabha seat in the state, approached the Supreme Court on Tuesday challenging the Speaker's decision to oust them.

In their petition, the six members of state legislative assembly - Chaitanya Sharma, Davinder Kumar Bhutto, Inder Dutt Lakhanpal, Rajinder Rana, Ravi Thakur, and Sudhir Sharma - termed Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania's February 29 order "arbitrary and illegal".
